Situated in the province of Huelva, on the western side of Andalusia, golf el rompido blends into the natural site of the Wetlands of River Piedras. golf el rompido is the only golf course in the region with 36 holes (north course and south course) and no property developments surrounding it.
Its two 18-hole courses, surrounded by pine and orange groves, cross the wetlands and open out onto the Atlantic Ocean with some spectacular views, giving those who play it a unique experience.The force of nature is evident with every step, turning the sport of golf into a pleasure for the senses.
north course
Opened in June 2006, the north course, according to the Peugeot Guide to Europe’s Top 1000 Golf Courses, is a monument to modern golf, intelligent and entertaining.
Modern because it combines power with precision; intelligent because it makes you think about your strokes; and entertaining because its medium-sized greens will entertain both the most skilled player and those with the highest handicaps.
The course blends into the beauty of its natural surroundings and requires no stroke that could be deemed unreasonable.
south course
Opened in October 2003, the south course runs alongside the clubhouse and is divided into two courses with very different characteristics, both in terms of technique and the landscape.
The pine forest alternates with olive trees and wetlands, requiring golfers to use strategy and precision in their strokes.
The course, which can be played easily on foot, offers spacious greens known to be among the fastest in Andalusia.
The combination of tropical grass and winter grass gives the fairways a comfortable, pleasant feel.
